Support Veterans While Shopping Local at Made in Iowa
Cedar Rapids, IA – March 11, 2025 – The
Marion American Legion will benefit from the
Made in Iowa Spring Market this Saturday, March 15, 2025, 9am to 3pm, at Lindale Mall’s old Younker store space. For every ticket sold, $1 will be donated directly to the Marion American Legion – 20 percent of all ticket proceeds – supporting their vital work for veterans and the Marion community.
This exciting event offers shoppers a chance to explore
153 vendors of handcrafted goods from talented Iowa makers, bakers, crafters, and artists while contributing to a meaningful cause.
Tickets are just $5 and
available online or at the door. Each purchase not only grants access to this celebration of Iowa talent but also directly supports the Marion American Legion’s efforts.
This cause is especially meaningful to event organizer Cynthia Freese, a disabled Desert Storm veteran, who is passionate about giving back.
“As a veteran, I understand the sacrifices made by those who serve our country,” says Cynthia. “Supporting veterans and local families is at the heart of this event.”
The market will showcase both new vendors and returning favorites, creating a vibrant shopping experience filled with unique finds and delicious treats. Plus, the first 1,000 attendees will receive a free tote bag from UnityPoint Health.
Event highlights include live entertainment by Tom Nothnagle, an accomplished guitarist, educator, and composer and a new
Youth Market featuring young entrepreneurs.
